This page contains answers to some common questions handled by our support staff, along with some suggestions for utilizing the full benefit of the Finance Express software.
Each of the active, or soon to be active, lenders in the Finance Express system are located on the Lenders page which is found on the Dealer Homepage in the lower right hand corner. From anywhere within the FEX System, simply press the Home button, then press the Lender Information button. To obtain more information on that lender, just click on its logo. To download the sign up documents, just click on the "sign up" link. After filling the lender sign up documents, send them to the lender and you will be activated within 3 business days. How do I pull a credit bureau on a completed application? First, the click on the "App" and either enter the information for a new application or select an application that has already been entered into the system. After you have verified that all of the required information is correctly entered into the application, including employer information, select the "Credit" tab and click on the "Pull Credit" button. The applicants credit file should be returned immediately. In the event that the system is unable to find a credit file for the applicant, check to insure that the SSN#, address, city and state are entered correctly. How do I Desk a completed transaction? After you are certain that all of the required information has been entered, press the "Desking" tab. This action will open the Desking Page. Then press the button labeled "Desk All Lenders All Tiers". The system will then open the inventory page and sort the vehicles that the customer qualifies for and that are acceptable to the Lender for that customer. It also compares each vehicle to the requirements of each Lenders approval and lists the Make, Year and Model of each vehicle. If the results of the "Four Square" in the center of the Desking Page are acceptable, you have successfully Desked the deal. For more detailed information on Desking a transaction, go to the help page. Where can I find a specific application? There are two ways in the which the Finance Express system lets you find a specific application. The first is by clicking on the "Apps" tab which defaults to the Application List view. All of the current applications in the system will be listed on this page. In the event that there is more than one page of applications, just click on the next page icon (a double right arrow) located at the top right of the form. The other method is to use the "Search" tool which allows you to search for a specific application in a variety of ways. Remember, the application list page only reflects the current applications in the system. If you have archived an application, we recommend that you use the Search tool and insure that the "Archived" box in the center of the form is checked. This will find all of the active and archived applications with the criteria you have selected. Why doesn't the screen popup when I select it? One of the features of Internet Explorer and most other browsers is a pop-up blocker which sometimes prevents FEX pages from appearing. If one of the FEX windows does not appear when selected (such as the Vehicle List after you desk a transaction) we recommend that you turn off the pop-up blocker on Internet Explorer. To do this from within Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" then click on "Turn Off Pop-Up Blocker". If this does not resolve the problem we recommend that you exit the FEX system using the normal logout procedure, then log back on. Who updates the Kelly and Blue Book information? Finance Express receives an electronic update each month from NADA with all of the current vehicle data. In the same manner, the updated information from Kelly Blue Book is received every two months. Finance Express updates this information upon receipt, so that your inventory data will always be current for that month. When are the monthly fees due? The monthly fee for utilization of the Finance Express software is due on the first of each month. In order to avoid an interruption of service, we recommend that you use our automatic credit card charge feature, which eliminates any un-expected delays, is processed only by the Finance Express corporate offices and is completely secure. Why doesn't the "Back" button on my browser work? The security of the information within the FEX system is an important feature. In order to insure that information is only cached within the system software, we chose to require the system to control the data only as long as it is being used by a FEX module. For this reason, we require that navigation between the various pages and modules be accomplished using the tabs provided, rather than the windows navigation buttons.
